Hi Alan, It may depend on which part of the country you are searching in. I have joined different genealogical groups over the years, made requests for help and been sent the information. You could try FreeCEN, although this is a volunteer project and not everything has been transcribed and available to view. I believe Cornwall is complete and online through FreeCEN (but don't quote me). Also many libraries have Ancestry available for family history research, so you would have free access through that option.
