Hi Leandra Have you her death certificate? The death index indicates there is additional information on the certificate that may be of interest to family historians. You can get the info transcribed for about half price rather than buying the certificate. There are a couple people doing transcriptions including SAGHS. I have a photo of an unknown woman who allegedly was the fiancée of Samuel Ford. Ford family legend states that she died before marriage, thought to be in a fire or from typhoid. Sam never married and he gave her engagement ring to a niece. A photo of the young woman may be seen here: http://collections.slsa.sa.gov.au/resource/PRG+1543/2/46 Two Theeuf sisters, Sarah and Bertha/Berthia, daughters of William Theeuf and Charlotte, nee Press, married two of Sam's brothers. Another sister, Emma Theeuf (1863-1883) died of typhoid. I'm wondering whether anyone has any photos of Emma and does she bear any resemblance to my unknown woman? Thank you, Leandra Ford AUS-SAGEN Archives are here: http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/index/AUS-SAGEN/ Websites of Interest on our Blog: http://aus-sagen-genealogy-websites.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to AUS-SAGEN-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
Hi Ian, I have a very poor quality photocopy of the death certificate. I suspect the extra info is the occupation of her father. It was notified by the undertaker.
