Hi Judy, You can find a copy of the original passenger list of the Indian in: “Genealogy Source 313: Official passenger lists of mainly immigrants arriving in SA under a UK assisted immigration scheme 1847-1886”, which is a book or on microfilm at some libraries (My local library in NSW had it on microfilm) The list for the Indian is 7 pages long and I have only saved the one page that my ancestor was on. Happy to send it to you in case yours is there too. Regards, Paula. -----Original Message----- From: Judy Elliott [mailto:jelli2401@gmail.com] Sent: 14 June, 2016 3:23 PM To: AUS-SAGEN@rootsweb.com Subject: [AUS-SAGEN] Where did they come from Is there any where I can find out where the passengers on the 'Indian' which arrived SA in 1849 came from. My great great grandparents were on this ship. Judy
