My great grandmother...Bridget Brodie/Brody....was a passenger aboard the ill fated ship Nashwauk wrecked near Noarlunga, South Australia on 13 May 1855. According to Marie Steiner's book featuring this event,, Bridget was one of the girls sent to the unused German Hospital. I am trying to track her actual movements and to confirm whether she was sent to the Servants Depot established by the Female Immigrants Board at Clare South Australia. She married my great grandfather...James Herring....on 5 December 1855 Roman Catholic Church, Clare, South Australia. While the timing and place may well be a coincidence, I am anxious to trace her movements from when she arrived until James died in 1865. An anecdotal family story has her working as a Midwife in the general Clare Region. Does anyone have access to records that can confirm her movements.....Regards.....George
