I am mainly curious on this but my gggrandmother was born in 1842 at York SA named Mary PARRINGTON i have her father morher siblings marriage etc....but rumour in the family was that Mary was the first "white" child (sorry if this offends anyone) registered on the yorke peninsula would there be anyway of proving this?? Also later in life before 1869 and I assume before married in 1859 the story goes she was walking along the beach and she found a teapot full of tea! from a wreck on the sand we still have the teapot although it has suffered a little damage in the handle and i was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how i could find which ship it had come from. Any ideas or information greatly appreciated. TIA Kathryn
