    3. Thank you to all that have helped me. I think I am getting closer to working this out. I appreciated all the suggestions. I found an article about a man who died and he worked for Bowmans on Parara Station, 20 miles south of Clinton, Yorkes Peninsula. So it sounds like that couldn't spell very well, it's Tarrara, Parara, Barara, and there is others. Thank you very much again Tracey -----Original message--------- From: "Tracey Ives" <traceyives@gmail.com> To: "AUS-SAGEN@rootsweb. com" <AUS-SAGEN@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, February 04, 2011 9:26 PM Subject: [AUS-SAGEN] Yorke Peninsula > Hi,, > > > > I was wondering if anyone out there knows the Yorke Peninsula well, > especially around Moonta area. > > > > I have been going through the Adelaide Almanack for 1864 and Edmund was a > sheep farmer at Tarrara. > > > > On the Birth CD, is daughter Frances was born at Barara, Yorke Peninsula. > > > > I am assuming this is the same place, just misspelt > > > > I can't find any town by that name, so my question is.............. > > > > Was it a small village/town in 1864 or was it the name of their sheep > station? > > > > Thanks > > > > Tracey > > > > Advertising on AUS-SAGEN is forbidden by Rootsweb Rules. > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > AUS-SAGEN-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the > quotes in the subject and the body of the message >
