Hi everyone I've been researching my Buring ancestors. While there is a lot of information about them once they came to South Australia I haven't been able to find out anything about them in Berlin, neither have any other family members over the years. I'm referring to: Friedrich Adolph Buring b 1816, Prussia d 1856 and his wife Caroline Henriette Auguste Jahn b 1816 d1889 Their children: Heinrich Franz Rudolph Buring b 1844 d 1923 and Theodor Gustav Hermann Buring b 1846 d 1919 Paul Buring b1848 - d 1865 and 4 more children who died young. They were part of the Berlin Emigration Society and came to South Aust on the Princess Louise, 7 Aug 1849 (thanks Di, Bound For South Australia) Does anyone have any ideas on where I can look for the passenger list in Hamburg or Friedrich and Caroline's marriage cert? I've got articles from the Australian Dictionary of Biography Online, lots about Leo Buring, Hermann's son, articles about the other Princess Louise passengers which mention the Burings. TIA Kylie :-)
