However, I am interested in finding relatives, information on the following person who came from Sweden to South Australia – including which ship he came here on and from which port. Gustaf Abraham WISTRAND was born in Stockholm Sweden 31 December 1854. Gustaf emigrated to Australia in 1870’s sometime. So assume his emigration shipping records will be under the name of Gustaf Abraham WISTRAND, however Gusaf changed his name to : George Abraham Wistrand WILSON after emigrating to Australia in the 1870’s. As George Abraham Wistrand WILSON he studied in Australia and became a teacher. He was apparently formerly an engineer in sweden. With the name George Abraham Wistrand Wilson he married May NORTHEY and they had several children including: Alfred George WILSON born 13 Oct 1877 Adelaide South Australia Josephina Louise Wistrand WILSON born 28 Nov 1880 Wellington South Australia Ida Caroline Wistrand WILSON born 6 May 1882 Wellington South Australia Oscar Vivian Wistrand WILSON born 18 Jan 1885 Daveyston South Australia Victoria Violet Wistrand WILSON born 5 Apr 1886 Freeling South Australia Waldemar Detlof Wistrand WILSON born 27 Aug 1888 Freeling South Australia Decima Dagmar Wistrand WILSON born 28 Oct 1889 Stockport South Australia Olga Victoria WILSON born 17 December 1891 Stockport South Australia George Abraham Wistrand WILSON died 4 August 1893 at Manoora, South Australia May have been buried in Stockport or Manoora. We are trying to find exactly which cemetery he is buried in and any records relating to this and other events, including his marriage.
