I've found a James DARCH, single aged 30, laboror, on the passenger list of the S.S. IBERIA, that sailed from London and Plymouth departing 26th December 1884 to Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney, arriving Adelaide February 1885. Can anyone throw any light on his ancestry? I believe this may be the same James DARCH (mason/bricklayer) that lived in Phillis-street, Maylands (Adelaide), South Australia, who sometime before 1893 adopted or fostered two brothers, Phillip and John Cook (who later adopted the name surname Darch), and may have married Phoebe Rachel Greedy, nee Cook, formerly Bellchambers, sometime between 1890 and 1895. Grateful for any leads. Thanks, Barry
Sent Barry some details of John Cook Darch, no other details though Ros On Fri, Jan 21, 2011 at 3:17 AM, Barry Brown <barry.brown@elisanet.fi> wrote: > I've found a James DARCH, single aged 30, laboror, on the passenger list of the S.S.
