If any of the fellas "just happen" to read the following - WE WILL KNOW, and your life might not be worth living !! May I suggest you think up something fantastic for him to do [you know - men's stuff], such as visiting Port Adelaide [ships and boats and things - like smelly fish etc], or suggest he ask a mate to join him on a leisurely drive through the scenic Adelaide Hills to the National Motor Museum at Birdwood [he must surely understand that you just might not be interested]. or, if he likes photography, asking him to take some photos of some of Adelaide's important or unusual builds, as a momento of your trip. Remember to point out that the camera needs only one pair of hands [his], and the other pair of hands [yours] could be busy transcribing at SAGHS or the State Libraty or Archives. Remember also to point out that if you are spending the day researching [wherever] you will not be indulging in Retail Therapy - surely he will see the sense in that [not blowing the family/trip budget on un-necessaries. He will also "be able" to find you [remembering how often one or the other ends up waiting round, when the other has got bored and wandered off to "just looking" at this or that [eg. in the Bookshop, or the Computer shop, or a Clothing store. Please let us know how the above is received....
