The fat content of whey is low; for example 1,000 kg of whey are required to make typically 1 kg of whey butter. It is also an additive in many processed foods, including breads, crackers, and commercial pastry, and in animal feed. Whey proteins consist primarily of α-lactalbumin and β-lactoglobulin. Depending on the method of manufacture, whey may also contain glycomacropeptides (GMP).Dairy whey remaining from home-made cheesemaking has many uses. It is a flour conditioner and can be substituted for skim milk in most baked good recipes that require milk (bread, pancakes, muffins, etc.).[citation needed]Whey protein (derived from whey) is often sold as a nutritional supplement. Such supplements are especially popular in the sport of bodybuilding. In Switzerland, where cheese production is! an important industry, whey is used as the basis for carbonated soft drinks such as Rivella and Montino. In Iceland, liquid whey is sold as Mysa.Throughout history, whey was a popular drink in inns and coffee houses. When Joseph Priestley was at college at Daventry Academy 1752–1755, he records that, during the morning of Wednesday 22 May 1754, he “went with a large company to drink whey.” This was probably ‘sack whey’ or ‘wine whey.'Another use of whey is to make ‘Cream of Tartar Whey’: "Put a pint of blue milk [blue milk is characterized by the appearance on its surface, eighteen or twenty-four hours after it is drawn, of small, indigo-blue fungal spots that rapidly enlarge until the whole surface is covered with a blue film.] over the fire, when it begins to boil, put in two tea spoonfuls of cream of tartar, then take it off the fire, and let it stand till the curd settles to the bottom of the pan, then put it into a basin to cool, and drink it milk warm! .”Whey was also used in central Spain to enrich bakery products. In some traditions, it was used instead of water to produce bread dough. In areas where cheese is made, excess whey byproduct is sometimes sprayed over hay fields as a fertilizer.

    1. [AUS-SAGEN] HELP PLEASE Patrick and Bridget Walsh
    2. George Herring
    3. I am seeking someone who would like a challenge and help solve a difference of opinion amongst elderly relatives [me included]. Much of the information shown below comes from an Irish Genealogist, who cannot help as to what happened once Patrick and Bridget arrived in Australia. The difference of opinion centres around whether they were the family who arrived as stated below or from information passed verbally to some family members 100 years ago that Patrick and Bridget arrived aboard the Stamboul in October 1857...this date conflicts with Mary's birth Registration as 1 February 1857 [the argument given for the Stamboul adherants is that it is either a trancription error or misunderstanding due to the accents of those concerned. _1.....MARRIAGE:_ Only one match is found in Tipperary County, using all the records transcribed from all 3 databases covering the three dioceses overlapping in the county. Their marriage took place in Cashel, Co. Tipperary and reads as follows:  "25th December 1855, Patrick Walsh, originally from Clonolty and Bridget Loughlin, of Cashel, were married by Dr Leahy. Walsh had been some time in the Parish of Solohead, but left it for good to go to Australia. He and his wife go in the morning of the 26th inst. They were dispensed in tempore verito on account of the circumstances, both emigrating together as tomorrow morning. Witnesses John Davin and Catherine Cashin"  (This is a superb record to have, rarely has there been a record so detailed for the period in catholic registers).  _2....SEARCH OF  PASSENGER LISTS:_  There are considerable number passengers of the name of Walsh/O' Loughlin/Loughlin listed as arriving in Australia within a reasonable time frame of that when Patrick and Bridget would have arrived here. The following is a deduction only and the full research papers are available to support the conclusion I have made.  Patrick is found aboard the Amazon, arriving in Adelaide on the 8 April 1856 being the same Patrick who married in Cashel in December 1855, he travels though as a single man and one wonders whether he obtained an assisted passage prior to his marriage to Bridget and would Bridget travel as Mary Walsh on the same boat (maybe using the identity of a sister of Patrick rather than his wife, she is more likely to secure an assisted passage as an unmarried young woman ?) It would seem strange for the priest to record the urgency of the wedding and the dispensation accorded if they were not travelling together? Of course, it is also a possibility that Bridget travelled on a separate boat altogether and that the Mary Walsh of the Amazon had nothing to do with Patrick. It is a strong coincidence however and there are also the only two parties from Tipperary aboard that ship. It would be unusual for an unmarried woman to travel without relatives or neighbours, though it did happen.  _3.....FIRST OF THEIR CHILDREN.._ Note: spelling is inconsistent. However, we are reliabley advised that as Roman Catholics their Pastoral Care was attended to by Austrian Jesuits so we have Austrian speaking priests recording the details of Irish speaking practitioners....a real mixture of accents !!!! WALSH Patrick, Bridget LOUGHLAN, parents of child born 1857-02-01 named MARY at Salisbury    WALSH Patrick, Rachel O'LOUGHLIN, parents of child born 1858-12-16 named MICHAEL at Gum Ck   WALSH Patrick, Bridget O'LOUGHLAN, parents of child born 1860-01-06 named BRIDGET at Gum Ck Any help or guidance would be very much appreciated... Your Hidden Survival Muscle (Pop Quiz) http://unlckurbody.bid/VljwYb08ceMO2NcdpxnAcNXbYzJk449ZA-W4ZCkBkbv4Ow Your Hidden Survival Muscle (Pop Quiz) http://unlckurbody.bid/XEh3n_bQ4abJ57virgJc8hz3fIcJtCnI7dg5bSNAymi7McI Love is a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes that ranges from interpersonal affection ("I love my mother") to pleasure ("I loved that meal"). It can refer to an emotion of a strong attraction and personal attachment. It can also be a virtue representing human kindness, compassion, and affection—"the unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another". It may also describe compassionate and affectionate actions towards other humans, one's self or animals.Non-Western traditions have also distinguished variants or symbioses of these states; words like Storge, Philia, Eros, and Agape each describe a unique "concept" of love. This diversity of uses and meanings combined with the complexity of the feelings involved makes love unusually difficult to consistently define, compared to other emotional states.Love in its various forms acts as a major facilitator of interpersonal relationships and, owing to its central psychological importance, is one of t! he most common themes in the creative arts.Love may be understood as a function to keep human beings together against menaces and to facilitate the continuation of the speciesThe word "love" can have a variety of related but distinct meanings in different contexts. Many other languages use multiple words to express some of the different concepts that in English are denoted as "love"; one example is the plurality of Greek words for "love" which includes agape and eros. Cultural differences in conceptualizing love thus doubly impede the establishment of a universal definition.Although the nature or essence of love is a subject of frequent debate, different aspects of the word can be clarified by determining what isn't love (antonyms of "love"). Love as a general expression of positive sentiment (a stronger form of like) is commonly contrasted with hate (or neutral apathy); as a less sexual and more emotionally intimate form of romantic attachment, love is commonly contrasted ! with lust; and as an interpersonal relationship with romantic overtones, love is sometimes contrasted with friendship, although the word love is often applied to close friendships. (Further possible ambiguities come with usages "girlfriend", "boyfriend", "just good friends").Fraternal love (Prehispanic sculpture from 250–900 AD, of Huastec origin). Museum of Anthropology in Xalapa, Veracruz, MexicoAbstractly discussed love usually refers to an experience one person feels for another. Love often involves caring for or identifying with a person or thing (cf. vulnerability and care theory of love), including oneself (cf. narcissism). In addition to cross-cultural differences in understanding love, ideas about love have also changed greatly over time. Some historians date modern conceptions of romantic love to courtly Europe during or after the Middle Ages, although the prior existence of romantic attachments is attested by ancient love poetry. The complex and abstract nature ! of love often reduces discourse of love to a thought-terminating clichÃ! ©. Several common proverbs regard love, from Virgil's "Love conquers all" to The Beatles' "All You Need Is Love". St. Thomas Aquinas, following Aristotle, defines love as "to will the good of another." Bertrand Russell describes love as a condition of "absolute value," as opposed to relative value.[citation needed] Philosopher Gottfried Leibniz said that love is "to be delighted by the happiness of another." Meher Baba stated that in love there is a "feeling of unity" and an "active appreciation of the intrinsic worth of the object of love." Biologist Jeremy Griffith defines love as "unconditional selflessness".
