He married Lavinia Emily Martha SIMS (born 3 May 1901 Fullarton) on 31 Aug 1918 at Wilmington. Known children were; Florence Esther Lavinia WEBB born 15 May 1919 Melrose William Frederick (Bill) WEBB born 14 Sep 1920 Melrose married Noreen (surname not known) Alfred John (John) WEBB born 27 Feb 1922 Melrose Ben Harold Roy WEBB born 25 Jul 1923 Edwardstown Laurence James WEBB born 8 Nov 1925 Tea Tree Gully Bill, John and Ben all served in the R.A.A.F. in WWII I am hoping to make contact with any descendants. (Esther Jane DEACON was my great grand aunt, she died young in Victoria and Alfred William WEBB remarried to May or Mabel Christina SEAGER in 1922 in North Adelaide). I want to get a birth certificate from Calais France for a child born in the 1840's but I can't find anywhere on line how I can go about getting this. Hope someone out there can help me. Thanks Judy
Not sure if you got a reply here bill............my recollection is that if this happened the Police Officer of the area witnessed the burial and recorded the information, of course there were always times when this did not happen and I would guess many people were buried with only the barest of rites performed.
