I am trying to find Allan Lewis Coxon who was born in Vic in 1910. He is one of 8 children (second youngest) wherei was able to find his seven siblings, i cannot find his date of death. I haven't searched trove yet but i was wondering what is the best thing to do. Hello List I from Victoria and I am having trouble finding anything much about 2 families in my family history. If anyone knows this family I would really appreciate your help. They were married in Adelaide, South Australia on 11/05/1914 - and her father is John Leary. WESTLEY, John Richard - born 1883 in Poplar, London - he was a Career Soldier John enlisted in A.I.F. in 16/02/1917, in South Australia, WW1 and was a Sergeant - on his Attestation document he states his Next of Kin as his wife and has 2 children. LEARY, Ethel, both residing at Eden Hill, S.A. then amended to: 262 Unley Road, Unley, *In the Aust. Elect/Roll for 1941* - Both John Richard & Ethel Westly lived at 34 Thomas St., Unley and he gave his occupation as a CLICKER. One of his Children is WESTLEY, Nancy, as she wrote to the Army Records, re: her father. John either lived with or married PONTING, Evelyn Martha - Aust. Elect/Roll 1937 - both with Westley as surname, lived at "Woongoola Estate", Woodstock, N.S.W - Occup. Butler. Very Strange, even their daughter Nancy is only in the elect/roll once, no birth records, for any of the children. Thank you in advance Regards, Sue Barnes Victoria
Hi I know your interest is with Dynes, but the name Ohlsons, as a child we used to visit and Arnie Ohlson and his wife, who had a shack cut into the side of the bank of the River Murray, I think Blanchetown. Good Morning Listers, Have replied off list to Sue with Marriage Registrations for for Gertrude Annie CORNWELL/BRANDT And also for what appears to be second marriage for Herbert Richard JOSLAND. Also 2 births, Gertrude mother of first birth, and the second birth for the second wife. Appears, birth was within days of Gertrude's death. Hi All like everyone else I'm planning to get on with tree development while it's hot for the next few days. l'm wondering if some one could look up a marriage between Herbert Richard Josland and Gertrude Anne - Probably family name of Brandt - but could be something else as she was fostered / adopted after the death of her parents. I've got the marriage index - volume 308 p 675 for him but can't find her. she's my great aunt and died of TB 17 June 1924 so no way of following her via children.
