Hi all The Victorian BDM discs use the Digger database system developed by MacBeth Genealogical Services (as do the SA BDM discs).  They all work the same and will do a search as soon as you put an entry in any of the search boxes - there are no mandatory fields to fill which gives the system its versatility. Also there are wild cards to use when you cannot find the one you are looking for. Also the skill is  putting in enough information to cut down the number of results to a readable number - I work on getting below 50 hits if I am on the hunt rather than for a specific result. Always view the results as a Results List so you see the results as a table and it is very easy to scan down the list, rather than the Results Record where you look at one result after another. I used the same surname spelling as you, Family search for India is split up to enable you to search what they have by Birth of Death or Marriage...spelling is a little different but this must surely be their marriage. Cyrus William BECALLACK married 10 Jan. 1918 at Bombay India, Louise LEBRVEY, His father listed as William and hers as Alfred .
