    1. [AUS-SAGEN] Is this Hugh's gt gfather
    2. Marg M
    3. In researching a friends family history I came to a screeching halt some time ago as to what happened to one of his gt gfathers, Michael Patrick TOBIN, b 1880. Morpeth NSW. One of his daughters. Agnes Jane GREIER, formally MCDONALD nee TOBIN was living in Adelaide in 1950 . She remarried sometime after 1943, not in NSW While looking for someone else last night I typed in Michael Patrick TOBIN into Ancestrys new consolidated Australian death indexes and up popped a Michael Patrick TOBIN d South Australia 5 Nov 1952. Has no other info and not in the Advertiser newspaper . His parents names were Patrick & Catherine Appreciate some ideas to be able to confirm if this is friend Hugh's gt gfather ,please ???????? Are no GREIERs in the NAA Record Search or Whitepages so what ever happened to Agnes Jane is also a mystery Bye MargM Beautiful Central Coast of NSW

    1. [AUS-SAGEN] Barwell boy.
    2. Jan and Geoff Addison
    3. Thanks so much to everyone who answered my enquiry regarding George Finbow being a Barwell boy. I've now confirmed that he did come via that scheme as he is listed in Applications for assisted passage as farm apprentices 1922 - 1924 held by State Records of South Australia. Now to try and trace him further - he was last heard of in South Australia in1928 after which he seems to completely disappear. Jan, Perth W.A.

    1. [AUS-SAGEN] William Boyce on the ship TORY.
    2. Sieglinde Boyce
    3. Dear Listers I came across the ship list of the 'TORY" which arrived in South Australia 17th November 1851. It listed a WILLIAM & MARY BOYCE. Were they a married couple? brother and sister or cousins? etc. As you may realise I am still trying to find my elusive William Boyce born c1835..wherever!! If this was my Ancestor he would have been around 16 years. Just wondering if anyone has any information about these 2 passengers. Many thanks, Sieglinde.

    3. I'm researching George Gordon Arthur Finbow who arrived on the Balranald in 1922 and who I suspect came as a Barwell Boy. He appears on the shipping list with many other young men of the same age and I'd like to confirm that he did come with that scheme. If there anyone on the list who has access to records/lists who could confirm this I would appreciate any information. Many thanks, Jan Perth W.A.

    1. [AUS-SAGEN] Hannah WILLIAMS nee WILSON - Birth, Marriage etc.
    2. Suzanne Fragall
    3. Hi again folk, This time I am seeking information on Hannah WILLIAMS nee WILSON daughter of William WILSON and unknown. 1. She was born around 1850. Was she born in South Australia and if so, what was her Mother's name? 2. When and Where did she marry Mr WILLIAMS and is there any information on him? Christian name, Birth, Death? 3. Did they have any children? In 1892 Hannah WILLIAMS nee WILSON married widower John OYSTON. He was considerably older than her but there is a possibility they had children. Can anyone verify this for me please? If only one of these questions is answered, I would be extremely grateful. Kind regards Sue
