    1. [AUS-SAGEN] William Savage/hotel application 1904
    2. Sieglinde Boyce
    3. Dear Listers, Another hotel query...this time for a Savage name. A relation wrote to me, telling me that whilst looking through the Trove Newspaper, she had found an article - from 1904. That William Savage of Yatala...this is where the family lived, had been granted an application for Publican and billiards. Would appreciate any further information if possible. My William Savage was born 1868 at Kapunda but then it seems the family moved. Kind regards, Sieglinde.

    2. Anne Menadue
    3. Hello, I have been trying to find out if there is a passenger list which shows details of the passengers on the MORLEY from Plymouth which arrived in Adelaide on 25.4.1840. I have found an obituary for Henry Denyer HILTON which states he arrived with his parents. On checking I found him arriving with what appears to be his brother and sister William and Ann. From BD&M reports Henry would have been 15, William 17, and Ann 18, when the ship arrived. Intersetingly there is a Charles DENYER on the list, but I cant find anything about him. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated Thank you Anne Menadue

    3. Dear Listers, This will be my last request for this family....as I do not seem to find a connection with my husband's side. Thought was worth enquiring about any details for those 2 young women who apparently according to a newspaper article someone sent me, were involved in a very serious car smash. Their ages listed were 15 and 16 years in 1940..... of the Alberton Hotel! The little information I have found is that Thomas William Boyce the Lisencee, died age 52 years, 10th June 1936. Then apparently his wife Mary Ann took over and she died in 1940. It has been wonderful with this site, that various Listers sent me information and it all helps with "the big picture"!! Wishing you all a lovely day, Sieglinde.

In weekly episodes you will meet the people, share the dangers of their voyages across treacherous seas and feel the hopes, fears and excitement they experienced on their way to the new province of South Australia. The first ships set sail from this website on 22 February 2011.
