    3. . To save Andrew answering this is his reply to me, they also have the microfilm at State Records at Gepps Cross This register can be seen at the State Library of SA, where there is a card index, or at the SAGHS Library. But I guess you are interstate, in which case you could try and find a library which has the Aust Joint Copying Project microfilms (films nos. 874-5) or a library which can get them in on inter-library loan. 3. I am interested in the descendents of John Westbrook born 27 June 1855 in Brighton England, who came to Australia, and Louise Schilling, born 25 January 1858 at Gruenberg, Moculta SA. She was the daughter of Gottlieb and Anna Rosina Schilling (nee Altmann). Gottlieb was born in Langmeil near Zullichau in Brandenberg Prussia 5 February 1834, the 5th child of Johann Gottfried Schilling and Anna Rosina Lange. Johann was born at Langmeil on 28 November 1802, his wife 13th May 1804 at Jaser Schweibus Brandenburg Prussia. They came to South Australia on the Prince George arriving November 1838. I am particularly interested in the children of John Westbrook and Louise Schilling as my mother descends from this line, they being her maternal grandparents. I have a copy of the Schilling book but have no details of the Westbrooks in England, and as far as I have determined there seems to me some difficulty in traversing that ground without some help from other members of the family. In anticipation Kevin Brewer

Hi Ernie Hard to say as you give no clue as to where you are ................. 99.9% of all censuses done here for all States have always been destroyed. According to Nick VINE-HALLs "Tracing your family Tree in Australia' book most of the S AUS PO directories from 1839 - 1984 are held by the Society of Australian Genealogists, NSW State/ Mitchell Library , Sydney , some at the NLA and a few at the SAGHS http://www.worldvitalrecords.com/contentsearch.aspx?sb=c&p=Australia have a selection on line too .
