    3. As Suffolk was mentioned on today's list may I add the following as a resource I worked with the late Ray Long on the Cosford Database (Cosford registration district) for over a decade collating most of the census, church records, registrations available in that era & have continued this since Ray died in 2008. Sadly his family took the site down but an Essex Family History Society member resurrected it via the Wayback machine collection of archives & placed my name & email as a contact for people requesting more information. Some of the archive pages we cannot locate but is still forms a great resource. We do not have a way to update the original web site but as more comes to light there are some modifications & additions needed. I also have an 1841 - 1911 database of Felsham & Hitcham census collection as well as a significant collection of surrounding parish areas. My database is now in excess of 260,000 & would be the largest collection of that area. I am quite happy to field questions if that would assist readers of this site. My own surname originates in Hitcham & we have a separate web site focusing on the over 50 trees we have to date & more we are still working on with the best back to 1420. many of the families I have explored to current era as with any country village there was a significant amount of in breeding. What I would like to know is, what were the Edowie Cottages? It listed one of their children's birth..Annie Maud..born 8th May 1891, and beside it just said: Edowie Cottages. Would it have been where the family had lived? Many thanks, Sieglinde.
