Good Morning I wonder if anyone can tell me more about this death What hotel? ect My sister does The Port Walks in the Port and knows a lot about the area - but nobody seems to know any more than this ? In 1981 - Harry Stanley PEDDEY age 51 years died as a result of drunken fall at a Port Adelaide Hotel. He subsequently died in a Police cell. Trove as you all know goes to about 1954 and the deaths only go to 1972 on the discs and short of getting a day trip in a bus from Kadina to Adelaide Library and back I am stuck Anything will be great thank you Jill [email protected]

Thank you to Margm, Leon, Robyn and Judy for your very fast responses. I have searched the social securities but no luck so far. Was wondering if he wasn't naturalized would be still get that? I haven't found anything to say he took out naturalization papers ..I have found his wife born in canada naturalized in usa and they married in manhatten in 1922. Her name was Marjorie edney Anderson. From the letter in 1947 seems he was still on good terms with Marjorie so maybe he was away in 1940 census. They appeared to live in rented accommodation in kings and Brooklyn and broadway. Even if I find a George Drummond and you cant view the whole document I cant be sure its him. Dont you just hate it when you cant find the last piece of the puzzle and the ages vary. Robyn what a great site that one is you sent will spend time searching that. Thanks. I do have ancestery and have searched it over and over also familysearch to see if i could find him. Thank you again am always amazed how knowledegable you all are. Jill
