    3. Hi Freda, I guess like all info it needs to be double checked. I looked for a Great Uncle who was a clergyman and his name didn't come up. Trying to work through some variations. Thanks for posting anyway. 3. Good luck Freda if you advise of 'errors'. I remember some years back, advising a group here in Australia (they had produced a booklet re Scandinavians that had come to Australia) that they had glaring errors, I sent paperwork to show them, but NO way were they going to make corrections. Crazy! Someone in their group had transcribed from old naturalisation papers and had to my mind had looked over the document way too quickly and got it wrong.. Heaven help anyone down the track using their booklet for research! 1. [AUS-SAGEN] Ddos attack on Ancestry- Rootsweb etc was " South Australian Police Gazette, 1944 and 1947"
    2. Freda
    3. Hi All, I suspect that as Rootsweb is tied up somehow to Ancestry and Mundia and other sites etc and they all had a massive "Distributed Denial of Service" (Ddos) attack about 7-10 days ago, and they are still trying to get everything back and totally working, then this maybe the reason for groups/lists not getting things. Hopefully they will sort out all their problems eventually. Some websites were also blackmailed or attempts at blackmail to stop the Ddos on them by the perpetrators. One dating /meet website actually closed down never to open up again due to a Ddos recently.
