I would like to thank everyone who replied to my query. There is more on the later death certificates than the very early ones. Thankyou again to everyone. Margaret Boots.

Hi List, Would somebody be able to tell me what information is on a death certificate in 1964 in South Australia? Thanks. Margaret Boots.
To Tam and Paula Milly Hilda Williams born 1886 Hobart Parents Edward Williams and Mary Ann Foght Using Ancestry located the death for Alfred Charles Ball. Have no way of confirming this except a trip to the Library looking for death notices in the year 1950 and when that will be I don't know at present >From what the article on Ancestry initmated the kids were still alive but where I have no idea Perhaps FMP may have something no more on Ancestry just some person researching the Ball family from places unknown Hope this helps Elaine
I have Alfred Charles Ball married to Milly Williams She born Tasmania and he? about 1877 I found a funeral notice for this fellow 1950 saying he was cremated West Terrace Crematorium BUT I have no idea what became of his spouse This couple had 4 children that I could locate 2 in VIctoria and 2 in SA If anyone can access electoral rolls that have not been digitised by Ancestry would be great Thanks Elaine

Hi List, Does anyone have any suggestions where my Thomas Boots who died at Marion in 1899 could be buried. His wife was a catholic and I know where she was buried. I had been told he was buried in the Brighton or North Brighton cemetery. The council who holds the records have checked for me and they couldn't find it in their records. And suggestions. TIA Margaret Boots.

Napier Terrace was listed in the 1936 Gregory's Street Directory as being formerly the name of part of Cross Road between Goodwood Road and Unley Road At that time Cross Road was previously known in many sections as many terrace names along that road and changed to one name that being Cross road prior to 1936 John H Day -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Rade Au via Sent: Wednesday, 3 September 2014 11:34 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [AUS-SAGEN] Napier Terrace, Westbourne Park, Adelaide 1939 Hi List, I have made an error in my previous post shown below. I was confused by two 'Avenue Road' locations nearby. So maybe Goodwood Road was called Napier Terrace. Though the Trove bus ref. states that one of the bus stops was to be moved west in Napier Terrace which means Napier Terrace would run east-west not north-south like Goodwood Road. Hi List, Mary Minor has solved the issue for me. Cross Road today used to have many names along its length. >From west to east in part it read: Cross Roads - South Terrace - Napier Terrace - High Terrace - and more. For those interested, the Mapco website has Adelaide street maps. See: The Register Street Guide Adelaide And Suburbs 1929 map No. 28. Thanks Mary for your continued and informed help. Rade

Hi there Christine, I found this 2 Volume book http://gutenberg.net.au/ebooks13/1302721h.html It is a detailed book starting with the efforts in England to raise capital and UK Government support for an expedition to send a settlement group to settle in what we now call South Australia. It even covers in detail the first failed settlement on Kangaroo Is before the fleet then moved on to Holdfast Bay. It is a truly fascinating read of all the trials and tribulations as the colony fought to gain a foothold. All the names like Currie, Grenfell, come to life. Before I found it for free on the internet I spent 100's of dollars to buy a hard copy. The two volume book was published in 1893, written by Edwin Hodder. A very readable, detailed history of SA. Before I read this I had no idea that SA was settled by a group of wealthy entrepreneurs who worked very hard to raise the capital needed. I can tell you there are many surprises in the book that astonished me.
