    1. [AUS-SAGEN] John Victor
    2. Robyn Coates via
    3. I am seeking any information about John Victor - principal/head master of Grenville College Ballarat. I think he studied at Trinity College Dublin from a few newspaper reports on TROVE. There are many. I found a mention on TROVE that his son was doing well in his career in Milan as an opera singer in 1878 and that he, the son, accompanied his sister to the Opera I have found what I think is him as Headmaster of Bellevue College in Sydney in 1889 and also the marriage of his son John Victor (Vittorini - musician, singer) to Mary Riddiford Randall in Sydney in 1900 as it mentions Grenville College and the Ballarat School of Mines. I found in the B Index of SA: VICTOR John b: c1822 an': 1851 OREGON 0cc: Minister, Gentleman res: Adelaide rel: C/E m: 9.10.1851 Adelaide SA Jane nee PETERS par: Capt b: c1827 ch: John (1852-), others? Is he the John Victor married to Jane Peters and fathering chn in Ballarat in the 1850s? I am interested in where he was born, whom he married, who his chn were ( a son and a daughter at least from TROVE), where he died etc. Does this ring bells with anyone? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in anticpation Robyn

I know BISA info needs to be double checked. 2. Andrew Peake via
    3. I am interested in a Harold Morris Nottle, who was born 8 Nov 1918 at Coburg, Melbourne and was killed during WW2, while serving with the RAAF in Europe. His father was Harold James Nottle, who was born in 1888 at Kinda. His parents were James Nottle and Elizabeth May Cornelius. Harold was 26 when he was killed. He probably had a brother, Jack Wilkins Nottle, born 1916, who may have married Edith Nancy Griffett. I'm not sure whether they had a family in Victoria. I'm looking for descendants of siblings of Harold James Nottle, who may have knowledge of Harold Morris. Andrew G Peake
