If only! My ggg grandparents came from Galway in 1841, and were probably born before 1821, but I can’t find either of them in 1821. His father was still alive in 1841, but there are no census records for Galway in 1851. VERY elusive. …. but thank you for the link. Hello Peter, Your question is confusing. Centennial Park on Australian Cemeteries web site ... http://www.australiancemeteries.com/sa/mitcham/centennialpk.htm Online Data link takes you to the search site ... http://www.centennialpark.org/memorial-search/ Dead Search Headstone Photos takes you to ... http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~deadsearch/cemetery_index. htm and then ... http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~deadsearch/centennial_ak.h tm and http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~deadsearch/centennial_lz.h tm And the explanation says not details then send an email to get the photo emailed to you! Pretty reasonable for a LARGE cemetery. The other Headstones photo link says not available due to current technical problems. Regards ... Linda, This was answered by partially by Lyn yesterday and if you didn't get it, you need to check your Spam folder. I also answered but my answer probably only went to Lyn which wasn't much help because of the way this list seems to be set up. I suggested searching Trove newspapers for marriages of this date. It's after available indexes. http://trove.nla.gov.au/ Cathy Linda Wyatt via wrote: > > Hi.I am looking to buy a Marriage cert , but unsure when the Marriage > took place pretty sure it will be SA between 1949-1954, > Is there somewhere I can look and buy on line > Many thanksLinda

According to Marie Steiner's book featuring this event,, Bridget was one of the girls sent to the unused German Hospital. I am trying to track her actual movements and to confirm whether she was sent to the Servants Depot established by the Female Immigrants Board at Clare South Australia. She married my great grandfather...James Herring....on 5 December 1855 Roman Catholic Church, Clare, South Australia. While the timing and place may well be a coincidence, I am anxious to trace her movements from when she arrived until James died in 1865. Lest we forget This day the 25th of April one hundred years ago the Australian Government declared this day for ever more to be ANZAC Day That very same day one hundred years John Napier BELL John Napier BELL was born at Larges Bay a suburb of South Australia's capital Adelaide John resided at Farina in South Australia with his siblings and parents On 18 June 1940 on 'most secret" orders of Winston CHURCHILL Flight Lt BELL of the RAAF along with Sergeant Charles William HARRIS (born August 29 1908 Collarenebri NSW) flew with two UK defence members from England to Brittany in an attempt to rescue of the wife of General Charles de Gaulle and their children. There were so many others who before had given their lives whilst serving with the Royal Flying Corps and other Air Forces but none in combat with the RAAF For the RAAF these two men became the very first of many who made the supreme sacrifice in combat. The town of Ploudaniel in Brittany continues to honour those four men with an annual service near the crash site and also at the town's cemetery . They have continued every single year since 1940 to conduct those services This year the Farina Restoration Group in South Australia will honour those men with a service on the 18th of June. see http://www.farinarestoration.com/ I was honoured enough to find the families of all four men. Along with representatives of all the families my wife and I attended Ploudaniel in 2014. There each family was presented with the medallion of the town, the only formal recognition ever awarded for the mission due in part to the 'most secret' nature of the mission. The medallion for the BELL family have now been gifted to the Australian War Memorial In memory of John Napier BELL -RAAF Charles William HARRIS - RAAF Bernard Felix NOWELL- RAF Norman Edward HOPE - Special Intelligence Service UK Lest we forget Alan Hall Melbourne
