Apparently his uncle left him with friends ( don't know who but north of Adelaide I believe) They met up again about 8-9 years later for a short time in Victoria goldfields I have marriage of Robert McLean to Susan Day. Then I loss him again till Thomas is back in SA getting married for the first time to Mary Connaughty. She died in 1875 and he married their Governess in 1875 and at some time in the next 25 years went to live on the Nullabor Plains at Madura Stn for approx 10-12 years.
