Hello, could I have a lookup for 2 deaths please. Albert WALKER died ? July 1954 age 33years, and if there is any other information showing for him please, I dont know what the disc shows, but would like spouse or parents names, thankyou. Also Elizabeth Ellen DRISCOLL died ? Feb 1968 age 50years. Albert and Elizabeth are buried in the same grave at Cheltenham Cemetery and I am trying to determine if this is her son from a previous marriage or before marriage. She was the widow of Thomas Frederick Driscoll buried at Centennial Park. Thankyou for any help Regards Deirdre

The Adelaide Cemetery Authority has a fantastic set of burial registers, lease registers, non-lease registers, crematorium records etc. However, there is a big but. Their records of burials in the Catholic Section are seriously deficient. They can only be made up with what they have got and these are problematic as for a long time, each burial was on a single piece of paper, many of which blew away, eaten by vermin, burnt to keep the homeless warm etc. Secondly by the burial registers of neighbouring Catholic Parishes and thirdly by the burial records of Seiberts Funeral Directors, which are an excellent series and microfilmed by SAGHS. Hi all, I am hoping someone might be able to solve a mystery for me. I am looking for Francis John RICHARDS who according to his marriage certificate in NSW was born in Port Augusta 1909 father James Clements RICHARDS Mother Elizabeth GOODWIN. I have looked at the SA births even just under his mother's surname but cant seem to find him. I would be grateful for any suggestions Cheers Josie
At last - everything is ready [as far as I am concerned] regarding the UNLOCK THE PAST EXPO next weekend in Adelaide organised by Gould Genealogy. Am hoping you - as many as possible - shall come, and say hello to me at the Fleur. Peninsula Family History Group stand. Many of our listers have sent encouraging messages to me, especially in the past four months. THANK YOU. I have been waiting for the results of my latest Cat Scan [third since my Kidney operation]. Six weeks ago I was told the cancer cells that had spread to my lungs have not spread any further. and today I was told - they are shrinking. Great relief now. See you on July 30th or 31st. Cheers from Di Cummings of Melbourne http://www.slsa.sa.gov.au/fh/passengerlists/BoundforSouthAustralia.htm

Hi List members, Thought this may be of interest to some people. Ros There is a project at Fremantle Maritime Museum called Welcome Walls where families who migrated to Western Australia in the 20th century (maybe before but I'm not sure) can have their names & other information recorded. See http://www.museum.wa.gov.au/welcomewalls/research.asp Names can be researched by going into the "Wall Search" A third & final wall is to be built soon. There are also walls at Albany WA & at the National Maritime Museum at Sydney NSW. I thought it may be of interest to those who have families who came to Australia.
