    3. Probably just north of Buninyong (near Ballarat). There's a Hiscock Gully Rd connecting modern Buninyong with the Yarrowee Plantation. Thomas Hiscock discovered gold just outside Buninyong in 1851, and this was one of the discoveries that sparked Victoria's gold rush. 1. [AUS-SAGEN] Looking for EK BROWN
    2. tamiwell
    3. Hello : ) I’m looking for a person named EK BROWN who was a witness at the wedding of my Great Grandparents in Adelaide in 1920. At the time this person was a ‘Typist’ from ‘Cheltenham’. I’m not sure if they were a man or a woman but came across a reference for a ‘Mr’ EK Brown travelling from Adelaide to Melbourne in 1913 (unless the transcription was incorrect) who was 24 years of age (born about 1889). I’d just like to know for more background to my G G’s story. I found out the other witness was the person assigned the soldier number that came just before my G Grandfather’s and that they had embarked together for France in 1916 which was nice to discover. So I’d like to find out who this mystery other witness was. Can anyone help shed a little light on that from the SA records? Thanks! Tam Sent from Mail for Windows 10

    1. [AUS-SAGEN] List Closures
    2. Kim Milne
    3. In the event of the closure of our list I've created an AUS-SAGEN list on the groups.io platform & several listers have already signed up. To make it easiest to transfer over I intend to send an invitation to every existing AUS-SAGEN subscriber from the list to join https://groups.io/g/AUS-SAGEN The message will carry my name in the invitation......that's only because I'm List Admin. Those wishing to subscribe to the new list will need to click on the " accept the invitation" link in the message. Those of you who have already signed on will need to do nothing more & can just ignore the message altogether. Kim List Admin
