Or in Eastprussia? Possibly in the (small) towns Zerpenschleuse, Holland, Tilsit or Ragnit? My mothers maidenname was DIECKMANN, too, and there are some Hermann and Friedrich in the family Christoph, No, I can't tell from that marriage index where Hermann Friedrich DIECKMANN was born. You'd have to buy the certificate http://www.justice.qld.gov.au/bdm/research.htm I have the following immigrants and where they were from: August DIEKMANN (Maurer) aged 31, Caroline aged 31 and Emilie aged 2 - from Henkinshain were passengers on "Cesar Godeffroy" 1865-1866 Hamburg>Moreton Bay. DIECKMANN Christian (Arbeiter) aged 40, Wilhelmine aged 50, Auguste aged 17 and Carl age 14 - from Milmersdorf were also passengers on this voyage. These groupings were separated by passengers, Theodor and Auguste GARLIEB from Gerswalde. Aged 28 and 40 respectively. There was also Carl DIEKMANN from Hindenburg (Labourer) aged 27 on this voyage. Maybe someone on the list researching the name can help. I'm forwarding a copy to AUS-TOOWOOMBA list. ~Di.
