Tipperary. He died in Gympie 1933 under the name MEARA. His unmarried double first cousin, also under the name MEARA accompanied him on SS Glamis to Marlborough arr. 1878. When her unmarried brother died in Gympie she was the informant for his funeral notice and death certificate and she used the name O'MARA . On various marriage/baptismal documents where my grandmother (daughter of Michael above) was a sponsor she is called O'MEARA or O'MARA but in more formal documents, the name MEARA was used: e.g. on her marriage certificate. My suggestion is to look for MEARA as well. I'll have a snoop around for Bernard O'Mara in Qld 1829-1889 and get back to you. Have you had a look online NSW BDM? ~ Di Randell Researching MEARA MANNION MANION RYAN HOLLYWOOD DURNAN DURNIN KERLEY CURLEY KIRLEY EDWARDS LENZ BOLLING KRUGER ..and more..
