I am preparing material to include in a submisssion to the Toowoomba & Darling Downs Family History Society with cut offf day fast approaching on 31st of this month and wondered if any lister has done any research on the THORN family. I have a WILLIAM THORN born in Scotland on 3 Sep 1852 and married GEORGINA ORD at Esk on 11 Oct 1876 and died at Toowoomba on 1 Feb 1935. William was the son of George Thorn and Jane Handcock. I need to know when he arrived in Qld and on what ship and, if recorded, his place of birth in Scotland. Any assistance given would be greatly appreciated. Des Skelly skel25@optusnet.com.au
