Hi Folks This one is not related to me, but whilst searching the Qld Pioneer CD noticed these: Father: Frederick MOLE Mother: Mary Jane LITTLETON DEATHS: 3 April 1878 - Constance Emily (born 16Oct1872) aged 5.5 6 April 1878 - Grace Anna (born 5Nov1857) aged 20.5 12 April 1878 - Fanny (born 29Jan1871) aged 7 19 April 1878 - Mabel (born 26Mar1878) newborn. What happened in Toowoomba (or surrounds) in April 1878 to have caused the death of four children in the one family!! What epidemic swept the area?? I noticed that there were 14 children born to this couple, and eight deaths before the age of 21 yrs. Grace was the eldest to die, most died as babies under 6 months. Hi Lorrae Re the deaths of the Mole children. Cause of death was: CONSTANCE EMILY - fever GRACE ANNA - fever FANNY - Thyphoid Fever MABEL -debility All have headstones.
