Hi Listers, Up until now I have had nothing to do genealogically speaking with Queensland, and am wondering if you can help please. I have a Victorian Birth Certificate with the parents (Nicholas COCK and Elizabeth Ann CRAGO) marriage details:- "May 1866 at Toowoomba, Queensland" What is the best way, without going via the net, to go about getting a copy of this cert, and what are the costs please? Is the lack of day/date going to be a problem? Thank you for your help, Stephanie Cocks, Adelaide.
Hi Stephanie I noticed anothe lister has given you the regn no for the marriage You have to send your request to Qld State Achives, PO Box 1397 Sunnybank Hill Qld 4109. cost with regn no is $17.50 without is $21.50. Check the website http://www.archives.qld.gov.au/ For regn prior to 1 Jan 1890 this is where they are purchased from. I believe you only require to claim they are for Family History.
