Yes Albert there was a furniture store called Rosenstengals in Toowoomba (not sure of the spelling either) I think it was in Russell street just above the railway line, on the right hand side going towards Ruthven Street. I remember it well, I think it was later turned into a dance hall or a skating ring. Pennies where I worked in Ruthven, ran right down behind the Rosenstengals store. Was there a Rosenstengals furniture store in Toowoomba in the 1940 and 50s? The spelling may be incorrect. I am spelling as I pronounce it. IO seem to recall one in I think Ruthven Street next to Burs tows. My Toowoomba family members visiting me in this the southern capital reckon there was not. Second questions is about funeral directors. I recall Burstow in a room behind their furniture shop, Hickey and Hickey in that street between Ruthven and Neil with a hotel on the corner, Hiram Philip up on the range I think in herries street. I also thought there was another owned by a German named Klienmeyer or Klienmscmidt or some similar name in a little shed building on a block of land near the railway line and on a swamp area and I thought Rosenstengals had a hearse also. There was also one in Bowen Street. Can any body clarify this please.
