It was always a road and I am surprised that you say it si now a street. It was long way out of town if you had to walk or ride a bike as I did. There was no sealed road then and Boundary Road was red soil in most parts that was either full of wheel tracks made in mud or in wet just clay mud. It must have been quite a way out of the town and I am surprised to find it called a street way back then. Maybe a Road I would understand. I have a child's death recorded there, yet all the other records I have were from James Street.
