Hi all, I'm chasing a hunch and need your help. Susan SATCHER (my ggrandmother) married Charles WILLIAMS in Brisbane and had two girls in 1879 & 1881 in the Toowoomba/ Warwick area. Mary Ethel & Eva Ruth WILLIAMS. Charles was a Boot and Shoemaker. Susan's sister, Emily SATCHER married Henry LESLIE at the home of Mr Robert FALKINER at East Prairie, Darling Downs. and had two boys in 1881 & 1883. Henry Giles and James LESLIE. Can anyone help me to identify where "East Prairie" is/was and does anyone recognise any of the above names? I am hoping that East Prairie was a well known area at that time and the Mr Robert FALKINER was a well known person in the area. If so, I may be able to move onto the next phase and start chasing the family tree from other 'associated branches' instead of trying to find them the conventional way.
