Toowoomba Hospital records. * Toowoomba Hospitals Board: admission registers, 1 Jan 1913 - 31 Dec 1924 [Qld State Archives: A/73219]. This has annual lists of patients admitted (separate lists for males and females, alphabetical by first letter of surname). Within this source there are also separate lists of old age pensioners admitted to Toowoomba Hospital (females 1915-1924, males 1917-1924). They give the town where the pension was payable, which may be useful if you don't know where to look in electoral rolls. These lists are chronological, so before using them, find the admission date from the annual lists described above. * A register of patients admitted to Toowoomba Hospital 21 Nov 1936 - 15 Jul 1938 [Qld State Archives: B/3079] was opened to the public this week. It gives name, age, sex, marital status, religion, address (usually just the town), local authority (or 'travelling'), disease, result, admission and discharge dates, by whom recommended, and transfers to another hospital etc. I will consider indexing this register if there is sufficient demand.
