    3. David thanks for the reply. Australian Cemeteries Index say the Jondaryan cemetery is opposite St Ann on the corner. St Anne's Anglican Church is a heritage-listed church at Evanslea Road, Jondaryan, Toowoomba Region, Queensland, Australia. It is also known as the Jondaryan Homestead Church and St Anne's Church of England. It was built in 1859 by Hugh Bradford as a private chapel for the former Jondaryan pastoral station, and the first service was held by preacher Benjamin Glennie late that year. The church also served the new township of Jondaryan, and was moved to its present site, with alterations, in 1893.[1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Anne%27s_Anglican_Church,_Jondaryan David it seems to me that they are one and the same Colin Good question. The commonly referred to cemetery is about 500m from the Jondaryan woolshed which from memory is next to the homestead. The same distance past the cemetery brings you to what is the township of Jondaryan. So not impossible. However the cemetery is, I think, associated with the Anglican church rather than a general cemetery. For example there is a uniting church in town too. So there may be or have been other cemeteries. Have a look at the map (scroll out just a little). http://www.chapelhill.homeip.net/FamilyHistory/Photos/Jondaryan_ Jondaryan /GoogleEarth.html David On 2019-09-15 20:27, Colin wrote: > Is the Jondaryan Cemetery and the Jondaryan Station Cemetery one and > the same or 2 different cemeteries > > Regards Colin > > > _______________________________________________ > Reply posters should snip out all irrelevant parts of the original > posts, especially footers. > _______________________________________________ > Email preferences: http://bit.ly/rootswebpref Unsubscribe > https://lists.rootsweb.com/postorius/lists/aus-qld-toowoomba@rootsweb. > com Privacy Statement: https://ancstry.me/2JWBOdY Terms and > Conditions: > https://ancstry.me/2HDBym9 > Rootsweb Blog: http://rootsweb.blog > RootsWeb is funded and supported by Ancestry.com and our loyal > RootsWeb community _______________________________________________ Reply posters should snip out all irrelevant parts of the original posts, especially footers. _______________________________________________ Email preferences: http://bit.ly/rootswebpref Unsubscribe https://lists.rootsweb.com/postorius/lists/aus-qld-toowoomba@rootsweb.com Privacy Statement: https://ancstry.me/2JWBOdY Terms and Conditions: https://ancstry.me/2HDBym9 Rootsweb Blog: http://rootsweb.blog RootsWeb is funded and supported by Ancestry.com and our loyal RootsWeb community

    3. Morning all, It's that time of year and the weather is nice at the moment, so it was timely to clean out my back shed. I have 11 Devon Life Mags to give away and would prefer to give them to someone in the local area who have direct Devon Ancestors. They are really nice Mags and I do not like parting with them. But sometimes one has to bite the bullet. There are lots of articles on all areas of Devon, properties for sale etc. [maybe your ancestors house is pictured or the area they lived] Of course if the TDDFHS would like them, they are sure welcome to them and have first choice. Regards Bev

    3. Hello Beverley, Saw your query on the Toowoomba list, thought I’d check up in The Darling Downs Biographical Register for you. There aren’t any Maddern in there, but the Cossart have an entry.[including Mary and Sarah. The book was put together by the Toowoomba and Darling Downs Family History Society many years ago, inviting people to put their interests in it. Ended up quite a big compilation and can be bought from them. But as I have a copy I have put the info together on one page for you, and sent as an attachment. yours in genealogy, Jan in sunny QLD. -----Original Message----- From: B. Where the photo is now is a complete mystery as I usually do not loose things like that. The only SCHULTZ I have ever come across is a Reinhold SCHULTZ. I am wondering if my elderly gent [now deceased] got it wrong? There is a Reinhold Theodore Otto SCHULTZ of Rockey Creek, Millmerran in 1913 There are two mentions on Trove re a Reinhold Carl SCHULZE - but do not think that is him. I have come to the conclusion that the person in question was really Reinhold Theodore Otto SCHULTZ Should anyone have a photo of him on horse back I would love a copy please. Bev

    3. An amendment folk I tried to find this before I posted, but seems I did not look hard enough. >From the Book One Hundred Years of the Lutheran Church in Queensland 1938 GLENCOE pg 227-228 In fact I have just found the entry in the Lutheran Church History book which I had looked at but had not found when I wrote the article. It says that the church was dedicated towards the end of 1880. Pastor Hartwig was the spiritual leader. At the end of 1890 the congregation at Glencoe joined the congregation at Goombungee. Then in 1905 the Bethlehem Congregation at Glencoe agreed to constitute a parish with the Christ Congregation at Highfields. On the 9th November, 1930 the congregation celebrated its jubilee, the fiftieth anniversay of its foundation and of the opening of its church. The congregation was served by the pastors A.D. HARTWIG, 1880-1883; W. BURGHARDT, 1883-1890; W. GUHR, 1890-1905; A. HARTMANN, 1905-1912; A. R. REUTHER, 1913-1936; G. VENZ, 1936 to present The article I wrote was for the 75th anniversary from Church news leaflet. Bev -------------------------------------------------- From: "B.
