Happy New Year Everyone, Received several documents this week from Parliament House regarding Carl August Anger. The following names were listed on a ‘memorial’ sent to the Registrar General by a group of German Lutherans in Toowoomba to protest the removal of Anger’s name from the list of Registered Ministers. The script is quite difficult to read, I’ve done my best but some are guestimates of the name listed. It is probable that the 73 individuals protesting to the Government were, or became, the initial congregation of the Independent German Church, who debunked from the St Pauls congregation in late 1863 or early 1864. (Wish I could get an exact date!) Hope it’s of interest to someone.
