Hi Bev, I'm not sure what years of Qld Electoral Rolls you are talking about, but the good news is that the years 1860-79 are now on CD and you can access them at Toowoomba & Darling Downs Family History Soc. as well as a few family history societies etc. in Qld & NSW that have already purchased them. For a review please see the January edition of Australian Family Tree Connection. For three years, three dedicated members of the T&DDFHS have worked to put the first twenty years into a searchable database, at the instigation of Nola Fulwood of Qld State Archives. The society applied to the relevant Govt. bodies and negotiated for permission. Last month Nola came to Toowoomba to launch the CDs. It was reported in the Toowoomba Chronicle, so I guess you missed the article. The CDs are available for purchase from the society - $45 for 1860-69 (contains a few from 1859 also), $75 for 1870-79, or the two for $110 plus $2.50 postage.
