I am new to this list. I joined in the hope of finding something of Abel GROTHERR aka KUMMERFELDT. We know she was born Abel GROTHERR in Goetzberg in Schleswig-Holstein. Her father suffered an accidental death in 1852. Her mother, Anna, subsequently married a Christopher KUMMERFELDT in 1858. Abel was 19 when she came to Moreton Bay on the "Beausite" of 1866 as Abel KUMMERFELDT with her mother, step-father and youngest brother Reinke. I can find no further trace of her after this. KUMMERFELDT died in 1870 and Reinke had reverted to his father's sur-name when he applied for a selection in Bundaberg in 1871. Can anyone help? David
