Please read chapter six of Larry O. Jensen's hints at "Familysearch Internet Genealogy Service" for details. Go to: http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/rg/frameset_rhelp.asp , click on "research helps", go to the alphabet on the top of the page and click on "G", page down to Germany, click on "Genealogical Handbook of German Research (description)", page down or choose a chapter six, but you should read it all. This publication is by Larry O Jensen, there are 22 chapters, Appendix A to F plus an Index. This is full of hints on German Research. This German lineage book series is a collection of 209 volumes, are also available on CDs go to http://starkeverlag.de for further details.
