Marian and all, This message (below) came into another Genealogy list yesterday, and goes some way towards explaining there have been problems on Rootsweb lists of late. Unfortunately, people on this other list who dared to mildly question the fact they seemed to be missing mail (along with everybody else) got an unnecessarily terse, long response from the listowner who didn't seem to know what was going on and who didn't think people should be checking out the fact there was no or very little mail for a few days. <<<<The following, which appeared on another Rootsweb list, may be relevant: >Rootsweb has been having some serious problems lately; >messages sent to Lists have not always appeared in the >Digest versions, (and the opposite is also true), and their >Archiving has had many gaps. (All this since their upgrade >of the servers.) They've also had long periods of servers >being unavailable. Things should soon settle down to a >more-normal level of service, but thought you'd want to >know.>>>> Fay in WA. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Marionne Diggles" <mamee@hotkey.net.au> To: <AUS-QLD-SE-Germans-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, August 15, 2002 4:59 AM Subject: missing digests > Hi Lorrae and fellow listers, > > I received a message in relation to my letter about the article in the > RHSQ journal, which made me realise I have been missing digest > messages.
