Hi all There are increasingly messages with signatures of longer than 4 lines. These are not only bad netiquette but also take up valuable space at rootsweb archives. Rootsweb has asked us to remind posters and I have been negligent in my duty of listowner up to now. I ask you all to look at your signature and if it is in excess of 4 lines then please trim it or rearrange it. If you put your research names in your signature and it goes over the 4 lines then please ensure that they are relevant only to our list when you post messages to it and likewise for other mailing lists. This also ties in with the request to delete a large potion of the original message but leave enough to enable someone to follow the thread. Especially, please delete the 'beget' sections of the original email. Thank you all for your continued support of 'rootsweb' and the support they continue to give us.
