Dear Christine, thanks for the information. It is not a HEUER that is in my family. My GGGrandfather's brother Carl married a HEUER but she apparently died just before they left Germany for the USA. He travelled to the USA with 3 little boys all under the age of abt. 10yrs old. That must have been a handful trying to keep three boys occupied for such a long journey. I know how it was taking 2 kids on a long flight. I was ready to have one of them go for a walk on the wings...............so I can only let my imagination run amok with the trip on a boat. I have heard that they held school for the children - if that is correct, then it may not have been so bad. cheers, Beverly.
