Hi all another small request - SURNAMES should always be in block capitals - makes the emails so much quicker to scan for familiar names. Never type all the email in capitals nor all in lower case. SUBJECT line - make it interesting, short and precise names, dates and place are often great but not always appropriate. When busy people have many emails to read, they scan the subject looking for the ones of interest, and skipping the others. Yes, I know it is not nice that we do not read every one of your email, but most of us just scan though them looking for two things - "can this email help me and my research", and "can I help this person" Thank you all for keeping this list so active.
