Hello Sue, I saw your response to Graham Berlin ( my mother's cousin!), so thought I would ask for any details you have for your Caroline and William STRASSBURG, like BDM dates , shipping, origins, place of residence in Queensland. Our ancestors Wilhelmine Auguste STRASSBURG b.17 January 1826 and her husband Christian Frederick BERLIN and 6 children came out on the Wandraham 12.1.1866 originating from Blankenburg, Uckermark, Preussen. I only know that Wilhelmine's father was Wilhelm STRASSBURG. Do yours originate from the same area? Jill Tumes

Hi Sue, Someone once told me that the Strassburg & Nitz family are associated together quite a lot, and apparantly came from the same town in Germany. How correct this is I am not sure. Wilhelmine Auguste STRASSBURG was my GG Grandmother b. 17/1/1826 Blankenburg, Uckermarke d. 29/3/1902 Tallegalla Qld. She married Christian Friedrich BERLIN abt 1850 in Blankenburg. Her death certificate states her father as Wilhelm STRASSBURG of Prussia. That's all I have found out so far. By the way, I too am originally from Ipswich but haved lived in Melbourne for about 15 years. Any assistance would be appreciated.
