Hello again Lorrae Not really trouble, but finding the material is difficult. This was the nitty gritty of my whole plan - to get as much information in one place so that everyone can get easy access to it. To find any single piece of information was - still is - the 'needle in a haystack' routine. It took days for me to dig up confirmation of one mention in an unpublished manuscript! Once that was found, there was another quandary - the RYAN girl who married one of our BEETHAMs. So there I was, back at Hatton Vale, Forest Hill, Laidley etc with our GIESEMANNs. One of David's Aunts married Jens FREDERIKSEN and they had property at Tamborine - more tie-ups - the Irish took up land there too. Lorraine Stitt has helped me - she has been great, as have a few others on AUS-Qld and the Co. Offaly Lists. It's like "every little" helps. The local librarian has had a shock seeing the old girl digging around too. We even got down to the Archives last week! Bought some maps - the 20 chain to one inch ones - and have found most of the families who were living around our HARRISONs, along with lots of German folk's properties. Thanks for being interested Bev > Hi Bev > You still having trouble with the 'Erin-go-Bragh' passengers? > The book referrred to the ship (do not know > which trip, if more then one) as the 'bride ship' so I guess there were a > lot of unmarried females on board. > The Germans and the Irish are so well inter-married in the Lockyer I would > not be surprised to find that some-one's ancestor arrived on that ship. > > Does anyone have ancestors from any of the "Erin-go-Bragh" voyages?? > > Lorrae
