    3. Hi beverly, My HOEPPER and SCHOENWALDT family came from Prussia to Qld, 1865 per La Rochelle from a village I read as Caselow. It is probably a different village as it a few mile north of the ones you mention/ Caselow is near Rossow...north of Prenzlau and east of Pasewalk. Nevertheless, they in the same area. Very interesting! I have had no success yet!! 3. Hi Hazel, My husbands family the Rück came from Kupfer on the La Rochelle in 1865, did all your family survive the trip? I know a lot of people died in the voyage, as there is no record of the deaths, as I see people on the list, who family travelled on the La Rochelle, I am checking to try and compile a list. I know a lot died and were buried in South Africa, some buried at sea and some at Dunwich. The ship arrived Xmas Day into Cape Moreton, and came to anchor in the Brisbane River on the 27th December, but it was Feb 21st in 1866 before most of the passengers were released from Quarantine.
