Beverly, Here is a couple of interesting locations to check for persons interested in the early German names in Qld.These relate to Memorial applications for a Naturalization certificate to be issued by the Government and are a document to treasure. Can be viewed at the State Archives,Brisbane,on Microfilm Z4909 and Z4910, Colonial Secretary`s Papers /A8 ,year1860,letter 60/1810. Johann Eberhard Hoelscher,Brisbane,from N/E Germany,ship Diana in 1858,full page,signed 10th October 1860. Henry Wagner,27 yrs old,Toowoomba,Qld,ship John Ceasar,1856,Memorial Cert 24 Oct 1860 and Naturalization Cert issued on15 Nov 1861.Microfilm Z1910,Col/A8,letter 60/1958. Regards Noel Hall.
