Dear Sue, yes, genealogy does cost an arm and a leg - especially if you hire someone do to it for you (I did that for my Welsh side as I have no clue about how to go about welsh research). However, it does not cost that much in $$$ if people are willing to share info with you. I would be pleased if you kept up your research to find the connection. I think I will ask my cousin, who married the KUBLER to give me more info and perhaps that will help you. There are a number of TROST families in SEQld. Mine is just one of them. But, if you find which TROST name you have, I may be able to tell you if it is mine or whose it is. Have written a book on my TROST family and have quite a large database.
