Hi List, My comments may be a little of line, please make allowance. I still remember my father telling me that when he came back from the Middle East during WW11 and he visited his father's farm at Marburg near Ipswich, he was very surprised and annoyed to find police of Irish origin visiting his father's farm and freely helping themselves to the farm produce, no payment. He raised this activity with his father and was told by him to restrain himself and ignore it. This all happened while we were still at war and my grandfather had three sons in war service and serving their country Australia. Regards Wayne
Dear Listers. If anyone has the internet address (if any) for WW1 enlistments I'd very much appreciate it. Thanks Christine Ross
